The 5 Week Reset

Even if your situation isn’t exactly the same, I’m wondering if you can relate to a client of mine.

She’s 37.
A mom of three young kids.
A first-grade teacher with a demanding schedule.
A husband who’s gone a few nights a week as a firefighter.

And like so many women I talk to, she was running on empty.

Her stress was a 7/10.
She was waking up tired.
Waking up in the middle of the night.
Barely had time to eat during the day.

Her needs were last on the list.

She was under-eating, having simple carbs and fats, and exercising on an empty stomach.

So we didn’t remove anything. 

We added.

More protein.
More balanced meals.
More support for her body.

And she started to say: 

“I have more stamina in the day.”


“I notice I’m less likely to snack throughout the day now that I’ve increased my protein.”


“I have more ideas for how to manage my hunger with meals that are easily accessible for me as a busy parent.”

The biggest improvement was her energy.

And we all know that when energy improves.

Everything improves.

But that wasn’t the end of her story because then she hit a wall.

Meal prep was taking too long.
It was stressing her out.
It was taking time away from her kids.

She felt stuck and wanted to give up.

So we adjusted.

Instead of complicated meals, I helped her come up with simple meals and snacks using real food she could grab quickly at stores like Trader Joe’s and Costco.

That’s when things clicked.

She messaged me to say:

“I’ve been consistent instead of focusing on perfection and feel like it’s just become part of my normal routine.”


“I don’t feel like I have to work too hard to figure out my meals or snacks.”
