This question hit a nerve
Yesterday, the FDA removed the black box warning from hormone replacement therapy for women.
The internet is melting down.
I chimed in on an Instagram post suggesting we need to ask the question why are so many women having such a horrible menopause?
I also suggested that you can’t out hormone poor nutrition and lifestyle choices.
Oh. My. Goodness.
Many women agreed with me.
One woman fully melted down.
She said I was judging and shaming women.
She even went so far as to suggest who I voted for President.
Suggesting that nutrition and lifestyle are key to having a healthy life or a less symptomatic menopause is now somehow political.
We’ve completely lost the plot.
We’ve been so conditioned to believe that every symptom requires a corresponding medication.
So much fear has entered the conversation around women and aging.
If you don’t take HRT, your brain will eat itself.
Yes, this was said on a podcast by two women doctors.
I can’t make this up.
Unfortunately, this fear is being driven by doctors who don’t understand how to read and interpret scientific studies that are often done on mice and not women.
Certain doctors are becoming social media stars and bestselling authors, and it’s not just in the menopause space; it’s all over the health and wellness space.
Unfortunately, they’re often pushing a fear-based narrative that sells products and books.
My number one goal with clients is to help you understand how your body works and how you can support your health through nutrition and lifestyle choices.
When you’re armed with information, you can have discernment about what is fact and what is fiction, especially in the world of AI.
What thoughts about your health and body are running through your mind as we approach the end of the year?
Is losing weight a goal for 2025?
What about getting healthy?
Are you considering doing Whole 30, intermittent fasting, or going keto?
Those diets last until they don’t, and then the weight creeps back on by St. Patrick’s Day.
If you’re looking for a plan with staying power and are ready to commit to yourself, I can help.
You’ve likely heard me say I don’t teach you how to diet because we all know that diets don’t work.
I teach you how to build a meal no matter where you are - at home, out to dinner with friends, or on vacation.
When you understand how to eat a blood sugar-balancing meal, you’re able to manage cravings, have more energy, and have less brain fog.
You don’t need to diet.
If you’re dealing with health issues like heartburn, type 2 diabetes, or an autoimmune condition, or you catch every cold that you encounter, I can help you.
Improving your health and losing weight comes down to these five pillars:
- Sleep
- Stress
- Digestion
- Blood Sugar
- Nutrient dense foods
I’ve reversed my autoimmune disorder.
I’ve made all the mistakes and researched what works and what doesn’t.
You’ll get a system that works and can adapt to your lifestyle.
It’s time to put yourself and your health at the top of the list.
This isn’t just another diet.
This is your foundation for actual change.
Decide, and together, we’ll take action in a group program I’m putting together for January.
If you’re interested, hit reply and I’ll add you to the list.
